The move where Frank left them was strategic. Not that Lance hoped or expected the group of Schleck/Contador to put that much time into him, but they wanted to make sure that Wiggins lost time. As it turned out, it didn't matter to Contador's 1st place, but certainly affects the possibility of Lance on the podium.

Kris - Lance is definitely not the same rider he was, but I think he'll transform back to that by the start of next year. It takes a while to get your legs back. And doing the Giro earlier this year was something he'd never done before. I know why he did it, but I wonder if he would have been able to do something more if he had not done it.

Funnyrunner - Lance did not pop out a kid. His seemingly sterile testicles managed to create one with his girlfriend, who then popped it out.

Jen - stupid hard rain knocking out the DirecTV for a little while. I missed the first 35 minutes of the bike race today. I would partially agree with cyclists having good bodies. Yours truly, yes, I definitely do. Ha. But some, like the Schlecks, Brice Feillu, etc - are pretty gross. They look like girls their legs are so skinny and their upper bodies are weak and depleted.RMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01079220291482067777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32769366.post-17593374433585563262009-07-23T08:55:13.392-04:002009-07-23T08:55:13.392-04:00I have nothing productive to add, but the rain is ...I have nothing productive to add, but the rain is interrupting my Saved By The Bell watching so I'm reading your blog.

Bikers have hot bodies.Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03779584827057694974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32769366.post-56106483400057220462009-07-23T05:13:34.007-04:002009-07-23T05:13:34.007-04:00I can return your comment: this is probably your b...I can return your comment: this is probably your best blog post to date. I agree that you could be a sports writer.

I'm definitely disappointed that Lance decided to play for his team instead of for himself, but that was his role (officially) from the start. He'll probably win next year, though.BGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05719622819591861648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32769366.post-65506125702296377982009-07-22T20:46:18.737-04:002009-07-22T20:46:18.737-04:00i have to admit this is the first tour that i'...i have to admit this is the first tour that i've watched from pretty much beginning to end. i've been a little surprised on in to it i've been. very nice summary - maybe you need to go into sports writing??

one question i have though - it seemed to me that frank shleck left armstrong/wiggens when wiggens was on armstrong's wheel and armstrong pretty much stopped dead (it almost seemed like he put on his brakes even though they were climbing). is it possible that armstrong did that on purpose to help f. shleck? that way ac would have more help putting distance between him and wiggens - since wiggens is the only real threat to ac given his awesome time trial abilities. whad'ya think?Benhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13889522815625481107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32769366.post-86614163588948125232009-07-22T20:34:40.904-04:002009-07-22T20:34:40.904-04:00i heard a report on the radio today about how lanc...i heard a report on the radio today about how lance just couldn't do it like he used to... just didn't have the magic any more. anybody who thinks that obvi didn't see his face the last two days as he was flying up two steep-ass climbs. he looked like he was sitting on his sofa. totally relaxed as he rode away from some really talented guys.

also, thor is a beast.THE KRIShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08446729115715514744noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32769366.post-5836679483374372872009-07-22T20:16:30.241-04:002009-07-22T20:16:30.241-04:00This is weird kizmit.
